Redmi Note 10T – Great Hardware At A Fair Price

While the new Redmi Note 10T still isn’t quite late to the market, a close examination of its specifications reveals there is little that’s different about it compared to what’s already on the market. The basic spec sheet is virtually the same as the ones found on nearly every other phone, with some minor exceptions. Another important thing to note about this handset is the relatively low introductory price of just Rs 13,000 doesn’t apply anymore, and instead the unit is priced starting from Rs 29,500. So what makes the difference?

A higher price may sound like an obvious choice for a high-end smartphone, but the combination of a lack of unique features, plus the common practice of OEM manufactures charging more than users’ budget without providing quality parts or giving satisfactory service certainly doesn’t help. Thankfully, though, the 10T still possesses several desirable features, like a sleek, thin body, a powerful chipset, excellent connectivity, support for Android Pay (which acts as a substitute for the traditional Android Wallet), and plenty of memory. On paper, then, the price should’ve been a foregone conclusion.

In reality, however, despite the low starting price, the Redmi Note 10T still manages to edge out the competition through sheer muscle. It packs arguably the most powerful chipset available on a smartphone, the MediaTek Helio X10, which is also the same device used in the Mio Motivo and Nokia E71i. With a quad-core processor, the phone also comes with 2GB of RAM, a powerful Adreno graphics processor, a generous 8 mega-pin memory card, an ample 1GB of space for files, and a host of connectivity options, including Bluetooth 4.0 on the micro USB. Add to that a sleek, metallic body, a powerful speaker set, a huge 2,500 mAh battery, a decent eight megapixel camera, and a good amount of software, and you get a phone that looks like it could put some serious competition into the high-end smartphone stakes.

The low price tag notwithstanding, one big drawback that many people will have with the Redmi Note 10T, aside from the fact that it’s not particularly unique in the first place, is the simple fact that it doesn’t come with much more. Sure, you can buy various add-ons, but these tend to be expensive, bulky, and of poor quality. If you were expecting a handset that would provide you with everything you’d need, you’d probably be better off looking at some of the lesser known handsets from China, like the Honor 7i. But then again, if you’re looking for a top smartphone that has just a little bit of wow factor, then there’s no reason not to go for the Note. It has just enough wow to make it interesting, but not so much that it ends up being underwhelming.

One of the best parts of the Redmi Note 10T, which tends to go unnoticed in this review, is the way that Redmi has incorporated its own operating system into it. Like most mobile phones of this kind, the Redmi Note series allows for either Android or iOS use, depending on what you want to use the phone for. For example, the home button comes up with an iOS device, so you don’t even need to mess around with a download. On the other hand, you can always download the Android version if you prefer it over the iOS one. Redmi Note 10T There are tons of different options that come with this handset, so users won’t have any problem finding the one that best suits their needs.

The Redmi Note 10T has all the features you’d expect from a smartphone in terms of software support, as well as its impressive hardware. It comes with a nice dual-screen feature that makes the phone easy to use for those who like reading ebooks and websites. This handset also offers users high definition videos that come out as crystal clear as they would come with high-definition TV. It’s also worth mentioning that this handset supports Google apps, which means that not only will you get to enjoy all the great features of Google, but you will be able to get all the good apps that come pre-installed as well. Users also get access to the Android Market, so if you want to download any apps, you will definitely be able to.
